The Bacoor City-Perpetual Lady Strikers nailed their 5th win by defeating the Biñan Tatak Gel/1-Pacman Partylist Volley Angels in straight sets, 25-19, 25-23, 25-20, on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) at the Paco Arena in Manila.
Winnie Bedaña led six Bacoor-Perpetual players in double figures with 12 points including a service ace to claim the Queen of the Court award.
Her output was matched by Fifi Ariola and Jemalyn Menor while Charisse Enrico, Shaila Omipon, and Cyrille Alemeniana combined for 31 points.
With the win, Bacoor-Perpetual solidified its hold of second place with 13 points while the Quezon Tangerines remain on top with 14 points on a perfect 5-0 record – thanks to 25-27, 25-20, 25-11, 25-16 win over the Negros Oriental Blue Hawks.
Aya Densing led the Tangerines 21 points, including 20 attacks and 1 block.
Binan and Negros slipped to 3-3 and 3-4, respectively in the standings.
