What would you do if you actually witness a crime being committed?
Would you dare help the victim or would you simply turn a blind eye to what’s happening?
This, in a nutshell, is the challenge posed to viewers by Roman Perez, Jr’s upcoming film “Pasahero.”
Roman said, “Usually in films, we see the characters suffer from what they did. Dito, iba. We will show what the characters would have to endure by not doing anything.”
Starring Bea Binene, Louise delos Reyes, Yumi Garcia, Katya Santos, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Keann Johnson, Rafa Siguion Reyna, Dani Zee, “Pasahero” follows the story of several train commuters sharing a late night ride.
One of them will eventually be accosted and raped along the way.
Curiously, not one of them lifted a finger, going on to earn the consequence of their apathy.
They will be haunted not just by their guilt, but by something sinister.
Asked if she would’ve acted differently in real life, Louise said, “Thankfully hindi pa naman ako nalalagay sa sitwasyon na ganun sa totoong buhay kasi, mahirap e. But I would like to think na dapat e makialam ka kung sakali, dapat may concern ka sa kapwa mo. Kasi ganun din ang gusto mo kung may mangyaring masama sayo.”
Said Bea, “I agree. Dapat talaga makialam tayo, kasi importante yun, e. Siguro, ako, kung may ma-witness po ako na crime, I think it’s important na kailangan may gawin ka, kahit gaano kasimple, kaliit.”
From Viva Films and JPHLiX Films present a Studio Viva production in cooperation with BLVCK Films and Pelikula Indiopendent, “Pasahero” opens October 9, in cinemas nationwide.
