Singer-actress Julie Anne San Jose just marked another major milestone in her career.
She was unveiled as Ginebra San Miguel’s Calendar Girl for 2025 at a glittering event held at the Diamond Hotel in Manila, Thursday.
Her calendar edition has six lay-outs in all, each with a distinct vibe.
The most eye-catching is one where she is seen seemingly channeling St. Michael the Archangel as depicted by National Artist Fernando Amorsolo on the iconic Ginebra label, replete with red cape and sword.
Striking as well is the one where she is seen wearing a bikini ostensibly made of pearls.
In an interview, the 30-year-old shared how honored she is to be part of a long line of empowered women who posed as calendar girl for the liquor brand.
She said, “I’m proud na napili ako ng Ginebra San Miguel family. It’s truly an honor to represent a brand that has collaborated with exceptional women throughout the years, like Anne Curtis and Marian Rivera. I’m honored to be part of this family.”
Asked how she felt seeing the layouts for the first time, Julie Anne smiled and said, “It was nerve-wracking. Actually, I was quite nervous backstage. But I’m excited. This is the start of something new para sa akin. It feels like a rebirth.”
“I look forward to traveling to different places in the Philippines to promote the brand through music.”
Taking on the task was a no-brainer for Julie Anne.
“It’s something na hindi na kailangan pag-isipan pa because sobrang napakalaking opportunity nito,” she said.
“I haven’t done anything like this before and I always wanted to try something different,” she added.
Apparently, Julie Anne believes it’s time for a braver, bolder version of her to emerge.
She said, “I want to show fans a different side of me. I want to show a more confident, stronger, braver Julie Anne.”
