The Palarong Pambansa multi-champion also spearheaded the men’s team for a silver honor in the team all-around category of the tournament which was joined by elite youngsters from Singapore, Qatar, Japan, Malaysia and host Thailand.
Starring as well for the PH squad was wunderkind Jacob Alvarez as he snared five golds plus two silvers in the MAG pre-junior class.
Alvarez bested his rivals in individual all-around, still rings, vault, floor exercise and horizontal bars apparatuses while settling for runner up in the parallel bars and pommel horse.
He clinched two silvers after finishing second in the pommel horse and parallel bars.
Meanwhile in the distaff side, the Filipinas fell short for a podium as they closed out as fourth in the pre-junior team category.
