Residents of Brgy. Fairview, North Fairview, Santa Lucia, and surrounding areas were all smiles becoming the very first recipients of former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson’s feeding program.
Dubbed Manong Chavit’s Mobile Kitchen, the community-driven initiative held recently at a covered court in Rockville Subdivision in Phase 1, Barangay. San Bartolome, Novaliches, is aimed towards providing much-needed nourishment and support to those badly in need of the same.
Award-winning actress Aiko Melendez, who is also Councilor of Quezon City’s Fifth District added to the festive atmosphere gracing the event.
“I am grateful that Manong Chavit Singson spearheaded this Mobile Kitchen feeding program,” she shared. “Masaya ang lahat. Literal na busog lusog ang mga mababait at masisipag na taga-Barangay San Bartolome, dito sa Quezon City.”
Manong Chavit was quite cheerful during the food distribution event, gamely exchanging pleasantries to all those present.
He shared, “Masaya ako na masaya sila at naibigan ang aming inihanda.”
“Maraming pang pupuntahan ang Manong Chavit Mobile Kitchen,” the senatorial aspirant vowed.
Manong Chavit also thanked Counselor Melendez for gracing the event.
