Another Jaworski is out to win the hearts of Pinoys.
Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, the Living Legend Robert “Big J” Jaworski, and his dad, Pasig City Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski, is 24-year-old Robbie Jaworski.
Robbie just signed up as Star Magic talent.
Asked what he hopes to achieve in the coming years, Robbie said, “I have nothing specific in mind. I just want to use this opportunity to find a greater purpose in life. If anything, I hope to inspire others much like my parents and grandparents.”
He admitted there is pressure that comes with the family name but he is simply moving forward, hoping to overcome it and soon.
“My famous relatives set themselves apart from others in their own way, and yung sa akin, hindi ko po masyadong hinahambing ang sarili ko sa mga kamag-anak ko. Right now I’m just excited to explore and discover myself more.”
The contract signing was attended by Robbie’s mom, Mikee Cojuangco, his dad, Vice Mayor Dodot, his brother, Rafael Jaworski, his manager Girlie Rodis, ABS-CBN’s COO for Broadcast, Cory Vidanes, Star Magic’s Monch Novales, and the Head of TV Production and Star Magic, Lauren Dyogi.
“In the VTR, what attracted me most was when you said ‘masipag at mapagmahal’. Those are the values and the traits we hope for our artists. So I said talagang bagay ka sa amin. I hope you enjoy the journey, and I hope you’re happy… And we know that it will be your turn to give inspiration and happiness as we continue to serve the Filipino,” Vidanes said.
Rodis shared, “I’m very happy that ABS-CBN, Star Magic has agreed to co-manage Robbie because I believe that they have the best platform for him and they’re not rushing him. They’re really allowing him to grow organically. And his parents are very supportive–his family is very supportive.”
Dyogi added, “Robbie fit to the values that we have in ABS-CBN. You know he’s very humble; with all the occasions that we’ve been together, hindi ko siya naramdaman na may ere siya o mayabang siya. He’s a very humble guy. That’s why he connects with a lot of people easily.”
“Robbie, as you embark on a new career, I wish you the best, anak. We’ve been so proud of you. I know that you will go places and you will share your talent with the world,” his dad, Vice Mayor Dodot said.
His mom, Mikee, also expressed her support. “Robbie, may God bless your every endeavor and throughout everything you do, nandito kami para sayo. We love you.”
Robbie was just launched as endorser of fashion brand Bench.
He is set to embark on a new journey as one of MYX’s newest VJs soon.
