Rufa Mae Quinto has come out to deny her involvement in an issue related to Dermacare, the same company involved in the arrest of Neri Naig-Miranda.
The actress broke her silence concerning the allegation after her lawyer, Atty. Mary Louise Reyes, confirmed that she has a standing warrant of arrest for alleged violations of the securities regulation code.
Reyes, however, maintained that the arrest warrant isn’t for large-scale or syndicated estafa but rather for 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code.
Taking to social media, Rufa Mae maintained, “I have no connection whatsoever to any fraudulent activity and I categorically deny these baseless accusations.”
“It is dejecting to see my name being dragged through the mud, but I remain steadfast and confident that the truth will soon prevail,” she added.
Rufa Mae went on to reiterate that she is more than willing to cooperate with authorities relating the same.
“I will cooperate fully with the authorities and face this issue through the proper legal forum. Rest assured, I will fight for my name and reputation,” she said.
The actress ended her statement by thanking her supporters.
She urged, “Let us allow justice to take its course.”
