San Miguel superstar June Mar Fajardo took advantage of the holiday break to come back to his old roots in Cebu and enjoy the rural life.
In his recent social media post of his old photos, the 35-year-old behemoth was seen hauling sacks of hog feeds from a delivery truck, saying it was a sort of exercise as gyms are far from his hometown in Pinamungajan.
“Ganito ang exercise natin sa buhay probinsya kasi malayo sa gym (This is our workout in the province because the gym is far away),” he said.
Last August, Fajardo bagged a record-extending 8th PBA Most Valuable Player plum as he led the Beermen to a Commissioner’s Cup crown.
Since being drafted as first overall pick by Petron Blaze Boosters in 2012, Fajardo has long been a dominant force in the league, winning multiple individual awards on top of 10 championships.
Holding a 3-3 record, San Miguel returns to action on Jan. 5 against Barangay Ginebra (4-2) at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
