ATIMONAN, Quezon – A 38-year-old man stabbed his 31-year-old live-in partner dead on New Year’s Eve in Barangay Angeles here after she admitted to having an affair with another man.
Police Major Marnie Avellanida, Atimonan police chief, identified the victim as Jollie.
Investigation said Jollie and her live-in partner, Jerold, 38, where having a drinking spree in their house when the victim admitted that she had an affair with another man.
The suspect got jealous and a heated argument erupted. Jerold took a knife and stabbed the victim several times. The victim was taken to a hospital where she was declared dead.
Jerold fled and surrendered to the police later.
The suspect admitted to the crime and faces a homicide complaint.
