David Chua, Raymond Bagatsing and Bayani Agbayani all share something in common beyond NET25’s “Goodwill.”
They are all running for public office this year.
David is aiming to become a councilor in Tondo’s second district.
Raymond has filed his candidacy for mayor of Manila.
Meanwhile, Bayani is the second nominee of Tupad party list.
Each offered a different reason for running.
David wants to uplift Tondo.
“May panahon nung bata pa ako, takot akong sabihing taga-Tondo ako, e,” he shared. “Kasi, dati parang naging landmark siya ng kahirapan, and yun ang gusto kong baguhin. Gusto ko mabago perception ng tao.”
Bayani simply wants to be of help to people.
“Dati pa naman ako tumutulong sa mga kababayan natin pero siyempre hindi naman tayo mayaman so, sakto lang. E sa politika may pondo yan. Kaya sa tingin ko mas marami ako matutulungan.”
Raymond admitted he is not ready to run as mayor of Manila only that his party, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, pushed him.
“Sabi nila maganda yung numbers ko the last time, 2022. My numbers daw were higher than our mayoralty candidate,” shared Raymond. “So, now, I’m giving it a go. Personally, I believe na, kung prinsipyo at good intentions ang pag-uusapan, may laban kami.”
In any case, the fun continues on “Good Will,” which is now down to its last few weeks.
The show focuses on hunky, wannabe rock star Lloyd Patawad (David) as he pursues his showbiz dreams while managing Good Will resort, something he inherited from his late mom.
“Goodwill” airs Sundays, 4pm on NET25.
