If there is one thing that Camille Villar longs for it is stillness, serenity, peace of mind.
Although she admits it is kind of ironic given the many things she is preoccupied with as wife, mother, businesswoman and politician, Camille maintained, she always find room for these via her “me time.”
“Whenever I get the chance to carve time for myself, I really take an effort to not do anything at all. I just stay home in my pajamas, eat my favorite food, and be with the people that I love,” she related.
There are times when she simply indulges in her favorite past time, watching movies, that is.
“I like romance, comedies, something feel good, yung nakaka-relax,” Camille related. “The last movie I saw was ‘Hello, Love, Again.’ Maganda. I loved it.”
With her looks, she could have carved a spot in show business as actress but Camille averred, “Hindi ko naman yata forte yan. Ibigay na natin yan sa iba.”
She used to appear on TV as host of both “Wil Time Bigtime” and “Wowowillie” though, and she admits to missing those days.
“Mas madali naman kasi yun kesa sa umarte, mas relaxed,” Camille intoned. “And I really formed a good bond sa aking mga kasama doon. We became a family.”
Family is important to Camille, noting, “It is the foundation of everything and it is crucial to nation-building.”
“When I became a parent, I understood the struggle to keep the family together even more and that all people want is what’s best for their families.”
It is such that as a congresswoman, Camille always championed family, advocating for legislation focused on housing, healthcare, and education — sectors she believes are vital to improving the quality of life for Filipinos.
“Motherhood changed my perspective and everything that I strive for, like how can I make things better for these moms? Who is managing all these things for the dads who are trying to provide for their families? How do I make things better for kids who are the future of this country? How else can we best serve them? I apply that with everything that I do,” maintained the senatorial candidate of the Alyansa ng Bagong Pilipinas.
