After being hailed as the number one show on Prime Video, “Saving Grace,” ABS-CBN’s Philippine adaptation of the Japanese drama “Mother,” is now set to gain more fans as it airs on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC, and Kapamilya Online Live starting March 3, Monday, offering never-before-seen emotional confrontations and gripping scenes.
When “Saving Grace” premiered online, the show instantly captivated viewers who were only too eager to latch on to its heart-wrenching storyline focusing on the lives of four different mothers, played by Jennica Garcia, Janice De Belen, Julia Montes, and Sharon Cuneta, and the emotional struggles they encounter when secrets from their past unravel.
“Isa sa mapapanood ninyo dito ang matitinding eksena naming ni Janice,” said Sharon. “Grabe ang liiit-liit na babae ang lakas ng sampal.”
Janice reasoned, “Kasi kapag may sampalan, gusto mo take one lang kasi nakakasakit ka e. Wag na tayong umarte, minsan masakit talaga. Ang gusto mo hindi ka ma-take two kasi uulitin mo yun, masasaktan ka, masasaktan mo siya. You try and make sure that you give your best sa eksenang yun.”
Viewers will also get to know more about the compelling journey of Anna (Julia), a teacher who kidnaps her student named Grace (Zia Grace) when she learns about the latter’s sufferings from her abusive mother.
“I am so grateful for this project,” said Julia. “I missed doing soap and to be able to do one with the Megastar is such a blessing!”
Directed by FM Reyes and Dolly Dulu and produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, the series also stars Sam Milby, Christian Bables, Elisse Joson, and Eric Fructuoso.
