Javi and Juan Gomez de Liaño delivered big in their separate games as the Seoul SK Knights and the Anyang JKJ Red Boosters extended their respective winning streaks in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) Friday, March 21.
Javi Gomez de Liaño tallied 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists — numbers that helped the Red Boosters scorer a 91-70 demolition of the Busan KCC Egis.
It was the second time that Javi produced a double-digit output and the third straight win for the Red Boosters.
Not to be left out was the younger Juan Gomez de Liaño who chalked up seven points, three rebounds and four assists in the Knights’ 85-79 win over the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus.
It was likewise the third straight win for the Knicks who hiked their record to 39-9 while the Mobis Phoebus absorbed their 19th loss against 28 victories – one win ahead of JD Cagulangan and the Suwon KT Sonicboom – at third.
Also starring for Red Boosters were Deonte Burton (18), Park Ji-Hoon (16), and Byun Jun-hyung (12).
It marked Anyang’s third consecutive victory for a 20-27 mark, tying with the Wonju DB Promy at sixth place.
