We were not surprised that “My Love Will Make You Disappear,” the first big screen team-up of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, is killing it at the box-office.
Note that it has reportedly earned 40 million – and in just four days after its premiere.
We were able to catch the film recently, and we are more than glad to report that it is quite entertaining.
Kim is perfect as Sari, a cute, charming yet unconventional woman who seemingly detests company.
Apparently, this was due to a childhood trauma. She was made to believe she is cursed. That she will lose every man she loves, hence the title.

Paulo is Jolo, a man who was left in the altar by the woman he loves after finding out he is buried in debt.
Jolo decides to make Sari fall in love with him after learning about her curse.
He is hoping that through Sari, he will be able to finally escape pain and suffering.
He didn’t foresee himself falling in love with her though.
The thing is – will they actually survive the curse?
Suffice it to say that fans of the tandem have lots to enjoy in the film, which unfolds very much like a Korean romance-comedy.
It offers the right amount of kilig, drama and laughter, ultimately a feel-good movie that will have viewers smiling leaving the theater.
Directed by Chad Vidanes, “My Love Will Make You Disappear” also features Melai Cantiveros, Wilma Doesnt, Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo, Nico Antonio, Migs Almendras, Martin Escudero, Karina Bautista, Jeremiah Lisbo, Atasha Franco, Kelsey Lasam, and Lucas Andalio.
Note the movie has also made an impressive debut in the North American box office earning $200,000 as of writing.
The film started screening in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and UAE, last Thursday (March 27), Canada, HongKong, Macau, Guam, Saipan, and Brunei, Friday (March 28), and in Europe last Friday (March 29).
It will also be screened in Italy, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait today and will premiere in Austria and Cambodia on April 5 and 18, respectively.
