Viva Holdings, Inc (VHI) has signed an agreement with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPH) in an effort to protect their products from counterfeiters who are doing business via E-commerce.
VHI represents 37 companies involved in diverse interests.
These include filmmaking, TV series production, streaming and distribution, music, concerts and events, food and restaurant, radio broadcast and programming, skin care and cosmetics distribution, and fitness studios, among others.

In a statement, Viva Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Vic del Rosario, Jr., said, “This is great news for all creators and artists under the Viva fold. Viva is the leading content provider in the country. It is only right that we provide all those involved with us the maximum protection of their intellectual property against piracy and counterfeiting.”
IPO is the government agency charged with managing and protecting intellectual property rights in the Philippines.
Established in 1998, it plays an important role in fostering an environment that supports innovation, creativity and economic growth by ensuring the effective enforcement of intellectual property laws.
Del Rosario continues, “As a signatory to the IPO E-commerce MOU, our directors, writers, songwriters, everybody creating content and products for Viva, now enjoy protection. Piracy and counterfeiting are major problems in the entertainment and other industries. These massively affect not only income but also disrespects creators, inventors and innovators. They can now rest assured that IPO will always be behind them.”
The IPO E-commerce MOU covers several E-commerce platforms including Lazada, Shopee, Zalora, TikTok.
Present during the contract signing were Atty. Brigitte M. da Costa Villaluz, Director General, together with Atty. Christine Pangilinan-Canlapan, Supervising Director, Atty. Reggie Anne Pamatian, OIC-Division Chief, and other members of the Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Office.
Del Rosario was joined by Vincent del Rosario III, Viva President, Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz, President of Viva Artists Agency and Viva Beauty Group; Studio Viva’s President Valerie Salvador del Rosario and Verb del Rosario, President of the Viva Music Group.
