Expect another wild and exciting finish as University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and La Salle Greenhills clash in the deciding Game 3 of the NCAA Season 100 Juniors Basketball Finals on Tuesday, April 15, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The Greenies took Game 2, 95-91, on Sunday, in a thriller of a win that prevented the top seeded Junior Altas from sweeping the series.
The Las Piñas-based squad won the opener of their best-of-three title series, 100-96.
Like the first two games, Tuesday’s 2:30 p.m. clash is anticipated to be a war of attrition with both teams determined to raise the championship trophy.
La Salle’s win also spoiled the coronation day of Perpetual’s Lebron Jhames Daep as MVP of the tournament – no thanks to Migs Osis who scored team’s last five points including the go-ahead driving layup.
Perpetual coach Joph Cleopas declared no more meltdown on their part and easy baskets for the Greenies.
Even Daep vowed to make amends after being held to just 8 points on a 4-of-15 shooting from the field.
Perpetual’s other concern is how to neutralize Guillian Quines who completed a double-double of 35 points and 11 boards. He also posted 5 steals and 4 assists.
Perpetual’s Jericho Cristino was named Most Improved Player.
