Fresh off a historic NCAA title, Lebron Jhames Daep has made a shocking decision as he decided to leave Perpetual – his home for three years – to join La Salle for the coming UAAP Season 88.
According to Take Aim’s post, a sports media from La Salle, Daep has officially brought his talent to the Green Archers after leading the Perpetual Junior Altas to their first NCAA title over the La Salle Greenies.
It came with a photo that shows the 18-year-old Daep meeting head coach Topex Robinson at the school’s basketball gym.
While La Salle supporters rejoiced over the development, Perpetual was hurt and unhappy during its practice on Friday.
All six Junior Altas were in attendance minus the player they envisioned to bring the Altas to the Promised Land.
Prior to his exit, Daep, aside from helping the Junior Altas clinch the coveted crown, won the Most Valuable Player plum after listing 15.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.7 steals in the eliminations.
There, he took home as well the Defensive Player and Finals MVP awards.
With his move to Taft, Daep is set to team up with elite front courts in Jacob Cortez, Luis Pablo and Kean Baclaan, with veterans Mike Phillips, Mason Amos, EJ Gollena, and JC Macalalag.
