Tigerair launches its free mobile application (app) where passengers may search for the best flight deals, book tickets, select seats, and store personal information for future use.
The Tigerair mobile app, which may be downloaded via the Apple Apps Store for iPads and iPhones or via Google play for android phones, may be used to book flights on any of the routes serviced by Tigerair cubs like Tigerair Singapore, Tigerair Australia, Tigerair Mandala and Tigerair Philippines.
“This development comes from Tigerair Philippines’ desire to offer our customers a seamless travel experience which begins with the booking process. Now, our customers and guests may book their flight on Tigerair wherever they maybe with just a few clicks on their mobile phones,” says Olive Ramos, president and CEO of Tigerair Phils.
The Tigerair app also allows the customer to go back and forth to any step, access complete flight information, and update fee breakdowns when additional services are included in the itinerary such as seat selection, baggage upgrades, and specialized luggage equipment for sports equipment.
The ‘’deals’’ section takes the passengers to the corresponding flight booking for Singapore, Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Create Responsive Infants By Sharing (CRIBS) Foundation is a non-profit, nongovernment organization which started as a shelter for abandoned babies. Recently, its responsibility has expanded to housing young, sexually-abused girls. They have also taken it upon themselves to continue the children’s education inside the institution.

Google has released a crisis map through Google Maps to help Pinoys monitor disaster-prone areas in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon at the height of tropical storm Maring (international name: Trami).
Luzon has been battered by the southwest monsoon brought by tropical storm Maring since Saturday, August 17, and has already affected more than 600,000 families. Seven have been reported dead due to the torrential rains.
The map, http://google.org/crisismap/2013-maring, which Pinoys can access on their desktop and mobile browsers, provides information about the tropical storm’s path, the rainfall warning, and the 24-hour forecast of accumulated rainfall across the country. The map also shows:
Clouds imagery; Landslide and flood-prone areas; Rainfall and flooding forecast
“Coming from our experience during recent typhoons, we realize that we are in a unique position to help our fellow Pinoys through technology. We will continue to assist in disseminating information to the public,” said Aileen Apolo, Head of Outreach, Google Southeast Asia.
“This crisis map is made possible with the help of the government, first responders and our volunteer mappers, and we hope it will be useful to those who want to help out,” Apolo added.
Anyone can share the maps or embed them in websites. “Simply hit the ‘Share’ button at the top of the map to get the HTML code,” Apolo said. “We will continue to update the maps as more information becomes available.”
