KAPAMILYA actor Ian Veneracion described the “sexiest man” tag accorded him as “good crazy,” saying that he is beginning to feel conscious about it.
“Alam ba nila na may t’yan ako? But I love it! It’s so good crazy,” said Veneracion, during an interview in “Tonight with Boy Abunda” aired over ABS-CBN recently.
Veneracion, who plays “Eduardo” in the hit teleserye “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” said that he is being teased by his children about the sexy label.
“Alaskado ako sa mga anak ko. Pag may nakikita sila online about it, kasi ako naman I’m not active in social media, sila ang nagsasabi nun sa akin,” the actor said.
Asked if he would be willing to pose shirtless, Veneracion said: “No way! Not in this life.”
Veneracion rose to fame in the comedy series “Joey and Son” with comedian Joey de Leon on RPN-9 in 1982. He later got married and now has three kids.
The actor said that he is a hands-on father to his children.
“My wife and kids are the most important people in the universe. We always have activities. Recently, I just taught my child how to ride the motorcycle,” Veneracion said.
As a husband, the actor described himself as “malambing and touchy.” He added: “I need holding hands, I need hugs.”
Veneracion said that he is an outdoor person who’s into skydiving, trail riding, recreational fishing, paragliding, sailing, motocross racing, etc.
The dramatic actor also said that doing “Pangako Sa ‘Yo,” now on its final week, gave him the chance to continue his career in show business.
“Before I did ‘Pangako,’ 40 years old na ako. Sabi ko, I think I’m done with showbiz because I’ve been doing this my whole life. So I said I will do the last project and explore travel or whatever. But with the show, it’s telling me this is the beginning of something,” Veneracion said.
The actor said that he and Jodi Sta. Maria, who plays Amor Powers as his love interest in the tele-serye, are good friends.
“Medyo awkward nga nung nagkita kami for this project. The first time kasi nagkasama kami sa ‘Darating Ang Umaga’ nuong 2003. Sabi n’ya sa akin dati tatay kita ngayon love team na kita. I told her don’t worry, next time, nanay na kita. Alaskahan kaming dalawa,” Veneracion said.
The actor laughed as he talked “sexy” during the fast talk portion of the show.
Asked to choose between sex and chocolates, Veneracion said, “Of course sex! That’s a no brainer.”
Veneracion also laughed when he said that the best time to make love is “every after meal.” He added: “It’s like a dessert.”
