KRIS Aquino is not retiring from show business.
This was clarified by multi-awarded talk show host Boy Abunda in his late night program “Tonight with Boy Abunda” aired over ABS-CBN.
“Kris is not quitting, she’s not retiring,” said Abunda, who handles the contract endorsements of Aquino.
Abunda said that the Queen of All Media was taking a wellness break for two to three months upon advised of her doctors.
He also said that the endorsements of Aquino would not be affected.
“Hindi po maaapektuhan ang kanyang mga endorsement contracts dahil hindi naman stressful ang paggawa ng mga commercial. Hindi naman ito dire-direcho halimbawa as opposed to doing movies or talk show,” Abunda said.
After working for ABS-CBN for 20 years, Aquino bid showbiz goodbye for the time being.
Aquino said that non-stop work under the spotlight and bashers have caused her stress. She even told Abunda that under medication, her hypertension would shoot to 155/105 due to stress.
Abunda said that Aquino had already taped the final episodes for her morning show “Kris TV” which were shot in Tagaytay. She hosted the same show for almost five years Aquino said that she will be resting so that she would be a strong and healthy mother to her children Josh and Bimby. (Robert R. Requintina)
