Timothy Bradley can’t wait to get his hands on Manny Pacquiao.
Reports from Bradley’s training camp in Indio, California, say the undefeated US fighter “is in high spirits” with less than four weeks to go before they collide on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Lee Samuels, Top Rank’s publicity chief, paid a visit to Bradley a few days ago and saw for himself the condition the 30-year-old fighter is in.
“He looks great,” Samuels told the Bulletin from Las Vegas yesterday.
Bradley is doing very well with his vegan diet, according to Samuels, who is assigned to tail the sleek puncher in the run-up to the Pacquiao rematch.
Samuels said Bradley will make his grand arrival in Las Vegas on the night of April 8 on board a private jet after attending a game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles featuring the Clippers and the Lakers earlier in the day.
Bradley edged Pacquiao on a split decision the first time they met in June 2012 and is upbeat that he will not only repeat over Pacquiao but score a resounding victory at that.
Top Rank big boss Bob Arum said Pacquiao will make his formal arrival in Las Vegas also on April 8.
Pacquiao, 35, meanwhile will resume his sparring session on Thursday afternoon (Friday morning in Manila) and might test the promising Jose Ramirez, a Mexican-American hotshot recently signed by Top Rank.
Pacquiao has a battery of sparmates at his disposal and it includes Steve Forbes, said to be a Bradley clone, Lydell Rhodes, Speedy Gonzalez and Kendall Holt.
