MANILA, Philippines –The Department of Education (DepEd) has announced the suspension of all afternoon classes in Metro Manila starting 12noon Monday including kinder, elementary and high school levels.
The announcement was made based on the latest weather advisory from Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) due to bad weather conditions brought by Tropical Storm Pedring.
DepEd said that suspension of classes covers private and public schools. Through its official Twitter account, DepEd_PH, DepEd clarified that only classes in National Capital Region (NCR) schools have been suspended. “No announcement of class suspension from other regions yet except for those under typhoon signals,” DepEd said.
