‘BEAUTIFUL BADING’ – This columnist heard this “beautiful bading” tale from a friend, who insists it really happened.
A balikbayan noted, while watching on television a daily game-variety show, how beautiful the co-host is, “What a beautiful gay! Looks like a beauty queen.”
The balikbayan was corrected, “She is really a beauty queen… and a real woman.”
“Sorry about that,” the balikbayan could only say.
Another balikbayan, watching another TV show (purely weekly game), also noted how beautiful a contestant is. “Di ba ang ganda niyang bading?”
She is really beautiful, a beauty queen, “Pero di siya bading, totoong babae.” Could only say, “Mea culpa, me maxima culpa.”
Can’t really blame the two balikbayan as they aren’t familiar with beauty queens. And that those two shows feature so many gays in women’s clothes that they get confused as to who is who.

‘CHONGKI’ – If you ask me, Enchong Dee and Kiray are perfect loveteam, “Chongki” for short.
Watched the trailer of their film “I Love You to Death” and the chemistry, electricity, rapport, are there for all to see.
Move over, Kathniel, JaDine, LizQuen, Aldub!

LOSER IS WINNER – Aside from Lotlot de Leon, Luz Valdez, and Lota Delgado, the showbiz word for loser is “Siolo Pascual.” This according to Boy Villasanta who calls the likes of Edu Manzano, Isko Moreno, Mark Lapid, Alma Moreno Senate “Siolo Pascual.”
Of course, it’s inspired, in a manner of speaking, by Piolo Pascual who, anyway you look at it, is a winner. But as always pointed out, showbiz lingo is more rhyme than reason.
So don’t call Piolo Pascual “Siolo Pascual.” He is Winwyn Marquez, Winnie Santos or Monsod or Codero… meaning winner.
At 39, Piolo remains “papable” (desirable) and box-office magnet and top endorser.
