Streaking BaliPure and powerhouse Air Force try to boost their respective semifinal bids when they clash with separate foes today in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan.
The Water Defenders gun for their fourth straight victory against the Laoag Power Smashers at 4 p.m., while the Lady Jet Spikers tangle with National University at 6:30 p.m.
Toting similar 3-1 win-loss records at joint second place, a triumph for both BaliPure and Air Force would put them half a game behind pacesetter Pocari Sweat (4-0).
Superstar Alyssa Valdez will fuel BaliPure anew not only with her presence, but also with her prowess at the attack line after debuting with the team with 26 points in their 20-25, 25-22, 15-25, 25-17, 15-12 victory over University of the Philippines last Wednesday.
Her former Ateneo teammate, Amy Ahomiro, and San Sebastian standout Gretchel Soltones are also out to provide enough offensive support.
