TV host Mariel Rodriguez has said that she is doing fine after worrying over her baby’s movement in her womb that sent her rushing to the hospital recently.
“It was the baby’s movements I was feeling!!!! I was so paranoid maybe because people kept saying don’t travel blabla, don’t eat this don’t drink that, too much negativity,” said Rodriguez, co-host of noontime program “It’s Showtime” on ABS-CBN.
“Truth is I won’t do anything that would harm my baby and I’m not going to let comments affect me anymore,” she said on Facebook.
Rodriguez, 31, wife of Robin Padilla, has assured fans that she and their baby are doing good.
“I was so relieved to hear my baby’s heartbeat again. So far, my baby is doing good but I just have to rest this out. Thank you to my ‘Showtime’ family for being so understanding and supportive,” she added.
“When I heard my baby’s heartbeat again all the ‘pain’ was gone. It’s all in my head (oops). Will relax now and enjoy my pregnancy and pray for a healthy baby!!!” she said. “Got a strong baby here… just like daddy,” Rodriguez said.
In the meantime, Rodriguez said that she will be taking an indefinite leave from the noontime show as she was advised by her doctors to rest.
After two miscarriages in 2015, Rodriguez announced on May 21, 2016 that she was three-month pregnant.
In March 2015, Rodriguez was eight weeks and three days pregnant when she lost her first child.
Five months later, she suffered another miscarriage and lost a triplet pregnancy.
Rodriguez and her husband have just arrived from a vacation in Amsterdam. They got married in India on August 19, 2010.
