Now that he’s in better shape, San Miguel Beer import Arizona Reid has said he’s more motivated to help the Beermen defend their title in the season-ending PBA Governors’s Cup.
“I’m not supposed to come over (last conference), that’s not my time to play,” said Reid, referring to his stint with SMB when he suited up as replacement to controversial import Tyler Wilkerson in Game 4 of the semifinal series against Rain or Shine.
“It’s my team now. I’m not filling in for anyone. It’s not a spur of the moment thing,” said Reid, who scored 25 points but was 12-of-31 from three-point area in a 124-99 setback to Rain or Shine in their semifinal series that ended with SMB suffering a 1-3 defeat.
Reid went home to the US right after but returned late last month and has since joined the Beermen’s training session.
