Fancied Arellano University tries to catch up with the early leaders when it battles defending champion Letran today in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.
The Chiefs stake their clean 2-0 win-loss mark in their 4 p.m. tussle against the dangerous Knights to gain a share of the lead with the Mapua Cardinals and the San Beda Red Lions.
But the road on top would not be easy for Arellano as Letran aims to extend their back-to-back victories over Emilio Aguinaldo College (76-72) and College of St. Benilde (56-52) that put them at 2-1 in fourth place.
In the other matchup, University of Perpetual Help and San Sebastian clash at 2 p.m. with both teams seeking to improve their respective 1-1 records.
