RHIAN EQUALS VILMA: The greatest challenge, says Rhian Ramos, was how to equal, not even top, the performance of Vilma Santos in the original film.
In preparation for the TV adaptation of the 1992 drama classic “Sinungaling Mong Puso, the cast of its TV version was shown the film, a huge box office hit in its time.
Rhian says she was deeply moved by the film, and especially by Vilma’s acting. Tasked to reprise the female lead role in the story, the young actress says it still scares her just imagining how she could match Vilma’s performance.
‘I leave it all up to my director,’ she said at the program’s media launch.
She added: “Pressured ako since it’s Ms.Vilma, pero kasi the advice given to me is do it my own way. Hopefully, people will appreciate my work.’’
