NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) — A Kenyan police official says a Chinese tour guide has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a couple during an argument over seating arrangements for dinner in the famed Maasai Mara game reserve. The wife died, and the husband was injured.
Narok County Commander Abdi Galgalo says the man works for a Chinese tour company. A police source who insisted on anonymity because he is not authorized to speak with the press identified the tour guide in custody as Lee Changqin, and the deceased woman is Luo Jinli, 45.
Her husband, who suffered injuries, is Dong Ya, 47. The source says the suspect confronted the couple Monday night at Keekorok Lodge and demanded that they move from a table, and an altercation ensued.
