CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite – Eleven resisting drug suspects were reportedly killed by police in shooting encounters in the last three days in Cavite province’s upland and lowland districts.
Police reports showed that three suspected drug pushers died in Trece Martires City and one each in Amadeo, Kawit, Indang, Rosario, Silang and General Emilio Aguinaldo municipalities as well as Bacoor and Imus districts.
All the suspects were shot by local police operatives when they resisted with their guns in buy-bust operations.
Seven of the nine fatal incidents happened on Wednesday alone.
Superintendent Egbert Bawar Tibayan, Trece Martires City police chief, reported that three suspects died when his officers swooped down on an alleged drug den in Sitio Salusoy, Barangay San Agustin at 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Tibayan identified one of the fatalities as Jose Bazarte who was in the police drug watch list.
Bazarte, also known as Boche Rodil, was killed when he and his two still unidentified companions allegedly shot it out with the police team. (Anthony Giron)
