Jailed consultants of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) Benito and Wilma Tiamzon and Adelberto Silva were released on bail yesterday so they can travel to Oslo, Norway.
Judge Thelma Bunyi of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 32 has granted the three rebel consultants’ motion to bail as well as permission to travel to Oslo, Norway for the resumption of formal talks between the government and the communists.
Rafael Baylosis, one of the communists leader wanting to join in the peace negotiations was also allowed to post P150,000 bail for his temporary freedom.
The Tiamzons, who were believed to be chairman and secretary general of the Communist Party of the Philippines, were captured in Cebu in 2014. (Betheena Kae Unite)
