Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body with multiple stab wounds was found inside a motel room in Pasay City the other day.
PO3 Lorene Osias of the Pasay City Police described the victim as about 25 to 30 years old, medium built with brown complexion, about 5’3” to 5’5” tall, with shoulder-length hair, and wearing a pink blouse with markings “PRO 3 Ladies” and maong denim pants.
Osias said nine stab wounds were initially found on the victim’s body, specifically in the neck, chest, abdomen, and arms.
Osias said that the unidentified suspect was the victim’s male companion who was wearing jersey shirt with markings “Aristocrat”, maong pants, and slippers when they checked in at the motel around 8 a.m. for a three-hour stay.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was found inside Room 302 of Rotonda Hotel located at EDSA near corner C. Jose Street around 11 a.m. by the motel’s room boy, Rustan Datugan.
It was learned that 49 minutes after the duo checked in, the suspect came out of the motel but the on-duty cashier, who requested not to be named, thought he was just going out to buy food at a nearby store. (Martin A. Sadongdong)
When Datugan went to Room 302 to ask the couple whether they would extend their stay, he discovered the woman on top of the bed already bathing in her own blood.
Police retrieved a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showing the suspect going out of the motel.
Police said they have already launched a manhunt against the suspect. Follow-up investigation is also underway to identify the victim. (Martin A. Sadongdong)
