JUST A THOUGHT: “Every choice before you represents the universe inviting you to remember who you are and what you want.” – Alan Cohen

Camp Sawi struck me as a dating place the first time I read about it on my Facebook page.
A younger friend who recently went to one such camp in Zambales quickly corrected me. He said that such camps, usually held in seaside resorts, serve as a venue where heartbroken men and women gather to vent their innermost feelings. Angst, you may call them.
Hardly had the idea sunk in than I was invited to a media event to launch a new film called exactly that.
Camp Sawi is set in a seaside resort where five girls narrate their stories of heartbreak in a group counselling atmosphere. The camp is managed by an attractive hunk played by Sam Milby, possibly the best vision one could ever dream of to heal a broken heart.

HEALING CAMP: Viva Films and N2 Productions combine to bring to the big screen a different take on the story of five young women struggling to mend their broken hearts inside a camp that helps them recover from their experiences.
Through “Camp Sawi”.
The movie is now showing. “Camp Sawi” is a Joyce Bernal production for Viva Films and N2. Written and directed by Irene Villamor, the film was shot for the most part in Bantayan Island, Cebu.
Five of today’s hottest young actresses play leads, namely Andi Eigenmann, Bela Padilla, Yassi Pressman, Kim Molina, and Arci Muñoz.
Aside from Sam Milby, the film also features special participation of Dennis Trillo.
The movie has a most catchy tagline, “Move in para maka-move on.”

RHIAN AS ABUSED WIFE: Speaking of wifey roles, Rhian Ramos, playing an abused housewife in current series “Sinungaling Mong Puso,” immersed herself during a visit to a Women’s Center to learn more about their inner pains (and strengths).
Rhian is tackling the same role that Vilma Santos played in a film of the same title in the ’90s. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
