The country still has “good relations” with the United States despite its concern over the alleged spate of extrajudicial killings under President Duterte’s watch, Malacañang said yesterday.
Presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella affirmed that they respect the opinion voiced by the US but this does not adversely affect bilateral relations.
“We’re open to the opinions and positions of certain governments but, we’d like to just say, we’d also like to reiterate that the relationship between the US and the Philippines remains basically solid,” Abella said in a Palace press briefing. “We do have a good relationship,” he added.
