Ito ay perpektong ihanda hindi lamang tuwing almusal or merienda time ng pamilya, kundi maging sa tanghalian o hapunan man dahil ito ay kilala sa pagi-ging isa sa mga favourite American dish of all time.
Ingredients:
3 large potatoes, peeled, clean and sliced thin
2 cups all-purpose cream
2 cloves garlic
1 small white onion, chopped
1 tsp thyme leaves
3 tbsp butter
½ cup chicken stock
Salt and pepper
½ cup grated cheddar cheese
½ cup parmesan cheese
Parsley, chopped
Procedure:
1.In a pan, melt butter, sauté onion and butter. Add potatoes and thyme. Stir until potatoes are slightly cooked.
2. Add cream and let it simmer. Add the half of the cheddar and half of the parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add chopped parsley. Mix well.
3. Add chicken stock if consistency is too thick.
4. Transfer cooked potatoes to an oven safe dish, top with the reaming cheddar and parmesan cheese.
5. Melt the cheese to the oven toaster with a 250 degrees Celsius until the cheese melt and turn to golden brown. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Beans
Ingredients:
2 cans (400g) baked beans with pork
¼ cup molasses
2 pcs white onions, chopped
4 tbsps brown sugar
1 tbsp mustard
2 tbsps tomato ketchup
3 slices bacon, chopped
Procedure:
1.In a saucepan, sauté bacon until browned. Mix all ingredients together in the pan and let it simmer for 25 minutes until sauce and beans incorporated.
