Police have arrested 61 foreigners in a raid that stemmed from an anti-illegal drugs operations in Makati City.
Director Oscar Albayalde, head of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), said that his men initially carried out an implementation of search warrant against a Myanmar national occupying a unit of a building in Makati City.
He identified him as Zheng Zhong Xia, who carries the alias Dong.
Seized from him were eight sachets of suspected shabu, 12 aluminum foils, three lighters, two empty bottle tubes and an improvised tooter.
“He chose to remain silent during the investigation so we proceeded with the inventory of the confiscated items,” said Albayalde.
The official said that before the conduct of the operation, they spotted a large group of foreigners who scampered and hid in various areas.
It turned out that they have been working as customer service representatives of Hao Ying Solutions Inc located in the 15th floor of the Multinational Bancorporation in Salcedo Village where Xia was collared.
