ILOILO CITY – Award-winning cops in Iloilo and the regional command of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Western Visayas region have been axed.
Relieved were Superintendent Richard Adonis Habawel of Iloilo Provincial Public Safety Company, Chief Inspector Lorenz Losaria of PRO-6’s Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Office, Senior Inspector Ariel Corcino of Pototan PNP, and Senior Inspector John Ryan Doceo of Iloilo Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group.
Superintendent Gilbert Gorero, spokesperson of Police Regional Office (PRO-6) said the troubled cops are asked to report to Camp Crame in Metro Manila by October 31.
Gorero though could not give any reason for the order.
As the chief of Iloilo’s provincial anti-drug unit, Doceo nabbed top drug pushers. He was even awarded as the best regional junior police commissioned officer personally given by PNP Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa last August.
Habawel also received his award from Dela Rosa as best senior police commissioned officer. (Tara Yap)
