Pop singers Yeng Constantino and KZ Tandingan have said that overpowering with one another was never an issue among the singers who will perform in “Divas: Live in Manila” concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on November 11.
“Sobrang collaboration po namin dito. Sabi nga namin sa concert na ito, hindi lang showdown ang makikita nila, pero pagco-complement ng ibang genre. Para itong magkakaibang putahe na bumuo ng isang masarap na ulam,” said Constantino, 27, during an interview on “Tonight With Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
Tandingan, 24, also said that she is friends with Kyla and Angeline Quinto.
“Yun ang maganda, behind the camera, friends kasi talaga kami. So pag-dating sa stage, napag-uusapan namin. Tapos, dahil sa magkakaibigan kami, kung feeling nila hindi nag wo-work, sinasabi rin nila sa amin,” she said.
“Bawa’t isa sa amin may shining moment. Kapag nag-shine s’ya sa isang part na yun, nasa likod lang kaming tatlo,” Tandingan added.
She said that they will give their best in the concert.
“Kahit gaano kaliit na production number, or kahit gaano kalaking number, you should give your best,” Tandingan said.
She thanked the producers of the concert for the opportunity to include her in a big show.
“The mere fact na four years pa lang ako sa industry and I now I was given the opportunity to be a part of a big concert,” Tandingan said..
Constantino said also clarified that she does not demand from the show.
“Ako hindi eh. You just have to do it. Hindi ko naman hihingin, I just have to do it. At the same time, nasa puso mo naman ito … hindi para tapakan yung isang performer,” she added.
Tandingan and Constantino are products of reality singing competitions on ABS-CBN.
Constantino was grand champion in the inaugural season of “Pinoy Dream Academy” in 2006.
Tandingan is a product of “The X Factor Philippines” in which she was proclaimed the grand champion in 2012.
