3 p.m. – Cignal vs Foton
5 p.m. – Petron vs F2 Logistics
7 p.m. – Generika vs RC Cola-Army
Pacesetter Foton Tornadoes guns for its fifth straight victory in as many matches when it tangles with the dangerous Cignal HD Spikers today in the 2016 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan City.
Match is set at 3 p.m. with Foton hoping to follow up its impressive 25-18, 23-25, 25-14, 19-25, 15-13 victory over Petron two days ago that made them the only unbeaten team in the tournament.
Petron, for its part, aims to bounce back from that heartbreaking loss that put them at 4-1 when it collides with F2 Logistics at 5 p.m., while Generika tries to end its misfortunes after losing all its five matches when it meets RC Cola-Army at 7 p.m.
But Foton’s bid to keep its imposing winning run would be the focus of the tripleheader.
Against Petron, Lindsay Stalzer was in full force for Foton by finishing with 29 points, and the American import hopes to maintain that fire along with teammates Ariel Usher, Maika Ortiz and seasoned setter Rhea Dimaculangan.
But Cignal is also coming off a hard-earned 22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 15-4 victory over Generika that improved them to 1-2.
The HD Spikers displayed their strength despite the absence of injured Lynda Morales in the last four sets, still making them a tough nut to crack.
