ACTRESS Ruffa Gutierrez treats her fans to an exciting guessing game as she talks about the men who were previously linked to her in her new book released recently.
“I wanted to say their names but when my mother read the book sabi n’ya, ‘wag kang magsasabi ng pangalan nakakahiya.
Yung iba may asawa na, nakapag-move on na. Hayaan mo sila manghula. Pag blind item daw mas exciting,” said Gutierrez during an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN recently.
In her book “The Truth and Lies My Mother Told Me,” Abunda said that Gutierrez talked about Dennis Da Silva, Yilmaz Bektas, current boyfriend Jordan Mouyal and titles “Dreamboat,” “Bad Boy,” “Exciting” and “Mr. Complicated.”
Gutierrez, 42, who fell, rose and moved on from love, said that timing plays a big factor in a relationship.
“May mga tao talaga dumating sa buhay ko na andyan lang sila, nagpaligaya sila sa akin for a moment pero hindi talaga sila yung para sa ‘yo, “ she said.
“I believe timing is everything. Sometimes it’s the right love but it’s the wrong time,” the actress said.
Asked about the lessons learned in her previous relationships, Gutierrez said: “What’s important is you go through the experience because only you yourself can learn from it.”
“My mom keeps telling me wag mong gawin yan, mali yang ginagawa mo. Kailangan mo talagang ma-experience and kung hindi mo na-experience hindi mo masasabi I’ve been through it, and everything that I’ve been through made me the person that I am today,” she said.
Gutierrez said that her book took one year to be finished.
“Available na s’ya in all bookstores. It took me one year to create the book, it took awhile but I’m actually very happy with the final outcome and it’s really me,” she added.
Asked to tell about the truths her mom Annabelle Rama told her, Gutierrez said: “The truth my mom always say is kailangan pakinggan mo ako, mommies are right. And now that I have my two daughters, I believe that.”
“My mom took three notches further, pero naniniwala ako basta nanay, you just do your best for your children,” she said.
“It might be a bit over protective but I know their intention is just for the best. Yun ang isang tuto,” Gutierrez said.
Of lies, Gutierrez said: “Bobo ka talaga sa pag-ibig ‘Day. I’m very smart. There are times na medyo bobo ako, there are times na medyo matalino ako but in love, love is blind naman di ba? It depends on the situation, the year and moment, then the person.”
