F2 Logistics completed the semifinal cast in the 2016 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix on Sunday night when it bested Cignal, 25-17, 25-16, 22-25, 25-10, at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
The Cargo Movers hammered down the HD Spikers in the offensive department while waxing hot in the service area to arrange a knockout semis showdown with the multi-titled Petron Tri-Activ Spikers on Saturday at the Ibalong Centrum for Recreation in Legazpi City, Albay.
Imports Sydney Kemper and Hayley Spelman stepped up for F2 Logistics with 18 and 17 points, respectively, including combined 30 kills and two blocks.
The Cargo Movers caught themselves flat-footed in the third set when the HD Spikers unleashed combination plays courtesy of Laura Schaudt.
But F2 Logistics quickly regained its form and soared to a 13-2 edge in the fourth set and never looked back.
F2 Logistics’ dominance was visible with its 54 attacks compared to Cignal’s 37 kills, while also firing 11 aces.
Schaudt finished 14 points for Cignal, which was relegated to the classification phase against Generika also on Saturday.
F2 Logistics, meanwhile, has less than a week to adjust for a more crucial battle against Petron.
The other semis pairing pit defending champion Foton against RC Cola-Army.
