ACTOR Daniel Padilla has assured his fans that he will still hold his concert in 2017 but not in February as previously announced.
“Masydong masikip ang sched… mahihirapan tayo. Matutuloy pa rin yung concert pero hindi na matutuloy sa February kasi hindi na kaya dahil sa pelikula at sa teleserye. Mahirap na magbigay ng show na hindi ka handa. Syempre dapat ready ka,” said Padilla, in an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” on ABS-CBN.
Padilla’s concert dubbed “DJ’s Classic Back at Araneta” was supposed to be staged at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. But it has been reset to a later date.
It would have been Padilla’s first major concert at the Big Dome since 2014.
Padilla and screen partner Kathryn Bernardo are expected to reunite in a new film to be directed by Mae Cruz Alviar who directed KathNiel in “Crazy Beautiful You.”
Earlier this year, KathNiel appeared in the blockbuster movie “Barcelona.”
KathNiel also returns to prime time television with the sequel to the new series “Imortal.”
Bernardo said that she is excited for her new projects with Padilla.
“Andyan and movie at teleserye. I-open natin ang 2017 ng positivity and masaya lang,” she said.
She said that they are rushing the movie so that they can start shooting for the new teleserye.
“Dapat matapos na nitong December and January (ang movie) para masimulan na yung soap,” Bernardo said.
She also said that she has not found a gift for Padilla.
“Wala pa talaga. May ilang araw pa naman kaya ‘yun ang aayusin natin,” the young actress said.
She added: “Basta ako I make sure na kung may ibibigay akong regalo, magugustuhan ng isang tao. Mahirap talagang magregalo.”
Padilla, 21, said that he knows what gift he will give to Bernardo but refused to reveal it.
