BUTUAN CITY – A 4.3 magnitude earthquake shook Surigao del Sur town Friday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the tremor was registered at 11:43 a.m.
The epicenter was plotted 56 kilometers (km) northeast of Marihatag town, Surigao del Sur, with a depth of 22 km, Phivolcs said.
The tremor was tectonic in origin and no aftershock, the state agency added.
The Surigao del Sur Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council there reported no damage or injury.
