TWENTY-two candidates of the Miss Universe 2016 beauty pageant feasted on Jollibee food with orphans during a visit to the store branch at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City recently.
Among the candidates who enjoyed the popular food products were delegates from the Philippines, Australia, Barbados, Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Canada, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Peru, Sierra Leone, Spain, Thailand, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
They shared the treats with orphans from the Concordia Children’s Services in Sta. Mesa, Manila, an orphanage for abandoned and neglected children.
The girls were treated to Chickenjoy, Jolli Spaghetti, and Yum! Burger. Later they danced and took photos of the iconic mascot.
Miss Vietnam Le Hang said that she enjoys Jollibee a lot because there are Jollibee outlets in her country.
Miss Philippines Maxine Medina recalled that Jollibee has also been a favorite “pasalubong” of her grandmother to them.
Miss Sierra Leone Hawa Kamara said that the first sign that greeted her when she arrived in Manila for the Miss Universe 2016 pageant was Jollibee.
Miss Venezuela Mariam Habach was so happy to receive the limited edition watch that she opened its box and wore it immediately.
