Jeron Teng flirted with a triple-double before heading overseas as AMA Online Education downed Victoria Sports, 88-80, yesterday in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The former La Salle star finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in 38 minutes to give the Titans their second straight win before he leaves for Dubai to join the rest of Mighty Sports Philippines in the Dubai International Basketball Tournament.
Teng is expected to miss only one game – against Blustar-Malaysia next week.
“Di naman kami masyadong umaasa kay Jeron. May iba naman sa team namin na kayang magperform,” said Titans coach Mark Herrera.
