Cavs to officially announce Deron Williams addition

With the Cleveland Cavaliers expected to announce the addition of Deron Williams, the Golden State Warriors could be adding a backup and veteran guard too. Jose Calderon is reportedly in buyout talks with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Warriors are looming as favorites to land the 35-year-old guard.
According to ESPN, Calderon has initiated talks with the Los Angeles Lakers for a potential buyout. Golden State and the Houston Rockets are reportedly interested in the services of the Spanish guard. Calderon is hoping to get things done by Mar. 1, the last day where players can be released and retain playoff eligibility.
Williams officially cleared waivers Saturday and has reportedly come to terms with the Cavaliers. An official announcement is expected to be made this Monday.
Aside from Calderon, there is the curious case of Andrew Bogut. The 32-year-old veteran center is expected to be bought out by the Philadelphia 76ers, currently being worked on by his agent.
The Warriors are a potential destination for Bogut since Golden State was not the last team to trade him. Under league rules, the last team to trade or waive a player cannot re-sign him in the same calendar year. The Warriors dealt Bogut earlier this year to Dallas as they freed up some salary cap space for Kevin Durant.
Aside from the Warriors, the Cavs, Rockets and San Antonio Spurs are reportedly interested in getting Bogut. All that should get clearer in the coming days.
