Argentinian big man Luis Scola is someone who could still effectively come off the bench for any team. Right now there seem to be no takers.
Luis Scola finds himself on the free agent market after the Brooklyn Nets requested a waiver this week. Barely getting the minutes, the 36-year-old Argentinian averaged a career-low 5 points and 4 rebounds with the Nets, logging only 13 minutes per outing.
Looking ahead, Scola could be a useful addition for teams ramping up preparations for the NBA playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors have already bulked up with the addition of key players like Deron Williams, Andrew Bogut and Matt Barnes.
There are other teams who could still pick up Scola. Among the teams who could be interested include the San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics or even the Houston Rockets, a team he played for from 2007 to 2012, FanSided reported.
Scola, 36, can be a reliable backup big man for any playoff-bound team. No team has been linked to him right now though that may change for teams looking to add muscle and scrappiness.
