ONE AND THE SAME ACTOR: The name RS Francisco first came forward by way of a stage play, M. Butterfly, that gained renown in local theatre circles some years ago.
The role was that of a transvestite, Song Liling, who loved a man deeply and with passion. That same passion is now channelled by RS Francisco in a movie where he is billed by his real and full name, Raymond Francisco. He also happens to be its lead actor as well as producer.
The movie, “Bhoy Intsik”, tells a unique friendship between a 48-year old gay thief and his young protégé, portrayed by neophyte actor Ronwaldo Martin.
Their characters’ (outcasts both)cross paths, starting as competitors and ending up as allies, almost like father and son.
Narrates Ronald Carballo, the film’s scriptwriter: “Bhoy Intsik” is a tough gay with a wife who understands his sexual preference. The young felon is Marlon, good-looking, street-smart, abandoned by his mother at age 8.’

WHO’S RONWALDO: Both producer and director of “Bhoy Instik” are impressed by newbie actor Ronwaldo Martin, who happens to be the younger brother of established box office star, Coco Martin.
Ronwaldo is said to be equally good as his kuya, winning the admiration of director Lamangan. Francisco said he liked Martin’s performance in awarded Cinemalaya film,“Pamilya Ordinaryo.” He told himself he must cast him in his film.
Co-starring in “Bhoy Intsik” are Mon Confiado, Jeric Raval, Mike Loren, Jim Pebanco, Liz Alindogan, Ahwel Paz, and Tony Mabesa. (NESTOR CUARTERO)
