Police arrested a toughie for flaunting a grenade and a gun while roaming a street in Parañaque City Saturday.
Chief Inspector Elizaldy Matulac, head of San Dionisio Police Community Precinct (PCP-4), apprehended Jay Sanches, 35, of Muslim Compound, Barangay San Isidro, Ninoy Aquino Avenue, Parañaque, after a brief chase.
Matulac said they received a telephone call from a concerned resident around 4 p.m., saying that Sanches was roaming Ninoy Aquino Avenue in Barangay San Dionisio and showing off a gun tucked in his waist and a grenade on his hand.
Upon seeing the responding policemen, Sanches ran away but he was cornered and arrested on Irasan Street.
Police seized from Sanches a .38-caliber pistol loaded with six bullets and a hand grenade. He failed to present documents for the gun. (Martin A. Sadongdong)
