President Duterte hosted an intimate dinner with senators from the majority bloc Tuesday.
A Facebook post from Sen. JV Ejercito said 15 of the 18 senators from the majority bloc attended the dinner held two weeks after a major Senate reorganization.
They were Senate President Koko Pimentel, Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto, Senate Majority Leader Tito Sotto, and Senators Grace Poe, Sonny Angara, Loren Legarda, Nancy Binay, Dick Gordon, Joel Villanueva, Miguel Zubiri, Alan Peter Cayetano, Cynthia Villar, Sherwin Gatchalian, and Manny Pacquiao.
Senators Panfilo M. Lacson, Chiz Escudero, and Gringo Honasan, who was celebrating his birth anniversary, were unable to attend the dinner.
Also absent were senators from the minority bloc Franklin Drilon, Bam Aquino, Risa Hontiveros, Francis Pangilinan, Antonio Trillanes IV, and detained Sen. Leila M. de Lima.
Ejercito said they discussed various topics, among them the proposed Comprehensive Tax Reform Package, a priority bill of Duterte administration, during the dinner. (Argyll Cyrus B. Geducos)
